We want to see more kids reunified with their families and leave the orphanages where they temporarily reside whenever it's in the child's best interest.
That's why we support the Honduran child welfare office with logistical efforts in visiting and evaluating biological family members who have made an effort to request custody of the child or children.
When those biological family members have been identified as an emotionally safe option for the child or children to return home to, but they are in need of practical support to make the reunification possible, the Embraced International team returns to the family for a second evaluation and an empowerment plan is developed that outlines the plan of support, with the goal of strengthened family base and a possible reunification.
We bring practical support, coaching, and individualized services to families to provide stability. Additionally, we will provide much-needed follow-up support to help with the transition once a child has been reintegrated. We give financial assistance, professional support, community involvement, and more to ensure that the child and the family are thriving after the transition.
