A Family Reunion Like You Won't Believe

Imagine four years after a complicated childbirth where you were told that your newborn had passed away and that you were contacted by a social worker telling you that your child was alive. That it was because of a disorganized system in the public hospital and a mix-up of information that your child ended up in an orphanage and allowed you to believe he was gone.

That is exactly what happened to Greisi and her husband.

When we asked them how we could support them, they asked if we could help them with eight bags of concrete to be able to have a concrete floor instead of a dirt floor in the house they had built, a bed, and a dresser for their son to have to return to. We immediately said yes and made plans to get everything delivered (up the very muddy and slippery mountain where they live). AND We are excited to share that their son went home to his family last week!

We’ve heard stories like this before with other families who we’ve supported, and thankfully their kids are back home, but it never ceases to amaze us and inspire us to keep working to reunite families just like these, and thanks to your financial support, we can.
