What Your Support Has Given Devin + Her Six Kids!
Devin is an amazing mom to six BEAUTIFUL children. She is extremely hard-working, and several years ago, she launched her own business making and selling tortillas in her community, where she was always able to provide for her kids.
A few years ago, she was in a relationship that ultimately caused three of her daughters to be taken by child protective services. After the authority's investigations were finalized, our team and the child welfare office visited Devin to evaluate and confirm that she and her home were safe places for her three daughters to return home to.
The only concern when we met Devin was that the home she had lived in for years was going to be taken from her because the owner wanted to rebuild it for his family. This uncertainty put Devin in a hard place because as prices of living and rent have increased and show no sign of stopping, it was becoming difficult to see a way that she alone could support her children and cover all living costs.
We decided to support Devin with the purchase of a home! It is close to where her business is and where the kid's school is so that she can have a permanent home where her children can grow up, continue growing her business and continue being the mom that her children need her to be! She is finishing up renovations and will be moving in soon!
We are hopeful that the legal process of getting her three daughters to their NEW home will soon be finalized! Thank you for supporting this family and making way for these three girls to be back with FAMILY!
